There was a lot of news on federal pandemic spending in schools this week. What were your big takeaways? Which data, concern, or query spoke to you most and why? What are the most pressing questions you have for your own school district or state?

Here it is for me. When I read this quote from Keri Rodrigues I felt it at my core:
"what we as parents and families are saying is that it’s raining. It’s raining right now. It has been raining, it’s continuing to rain. It’s a monsoon. Please spend these resources. You’ve got to spend this money instead of holding on to it and hoping that you’ll have it for the next crisis. The crisis is now. "
I know that states and districts are working hard to process, implement, and iterate on spending plans. We are seeing promising examples of these investments (see the https://edurecoveryhub.org/). But, we just are not seeing the healing and transformation that we know these investments can have for our kids.
